Slide shows
If you need someone to do a slideshow about fly fishing or canoeing at a meeting in your fly fishing club or something like that, I have several different slide shows that I do. I can do them in English if so wished. The slide shows are adjusted to fit the audience in both duration and complexity. They are usually planned to take from one hour to one hour and ten minutes, with a coffee break in the middle. They can be made much shorter depending on the purpose of the show.
A lot of fly fishing clubs have wanted a fly tying demo after the slide show, others have wanted me to talk about choosing the right gear etc. If this is the case, the slide show is usually shortened and done with no break.
I also do a limited number of classes in fly fishing strategy, fly casting, fly tying or canoeing.

My slideshows are:
Fly fishing for brown trout:
This is a slide show with approximately 200 pictures. I take the audience through different conditions and different parts of the season, and I talk about my experiences. It is a combination of a lecture about where, why, wich fly etc and showing pictures from different rivers and lakes.. The slide show is planned for a break in the middle.
A fly fishing year:
In this slide show I take you through a hypothetical fly fishing year from the ice melts in the spring until the next spring. It shows fly fishing in Norway and abroad. It has fly fishing in fresh and salt water and I am fishing for brown trout, pike, perch, sea run brown trout, sea bass etc. in locations like the Norwegian mountains, the Kola Peninsula, Florida, Tuscany and more. The show is planned for a break in the middle.
Imitations:
This slide show is about the insects we find in and around the rivers and lakes in Norway, and their imitations. This show is a bit too technical for fly fishing beginners, but can be adjusted to fit beginners. It was originally put together as a show to use before a fly tying demo or fly tying course.
Streamer fishing:
This slide show is about the different subjects in my new book Streamer. I talk about, and show different techniques and flies for different conditions and different fish. I will talk about all my streamer fishing from brown trout to tarpon. It is perfect as a show before a fly tying demo or a fly tying course where streamers are the subject.
Fly fishing for brown trout on the Kola peninsula:
I will in this show talk about my experiences from my 5 trips to Kola. My experiences are from the following rivers, Rynda, Kharlovka and Litza (1996, 2003, 2004 (x2) and 2005). There are a lot of pictures showing beautiful scenery, big trout and camaraderie. I will give my experiences about the time of the year to fish, the flies we use etc. The show is planned for a break in the middle, but can easily be made much shorter.
Canoeing the Rynda river:
This show is from the trip we did canoeing the Rynda in 2003. I will take you from the upper parts of Rynda and downstream. We did not paddle the whole river, but the part we did had excellent fly fishing for brown trout and arctic char. The trip was a success and we visited the river again in 2004. The program takes less than an hour.
Fly fishing in Florida:
Fly fishing in Florida is fantastic, and if you dream of tropical fly fishing, Florida is the place to go if you want a do it yourself trip. There are lots of guides and hotels, and the travelling to the USA is easy. This slide show shows you some of the alternatives you have both with a guide and on your own. The show is made to be run with a break in the middle, but can be shortened. A short show might be used before a fly tying demo where I tie flies for tropical fly fishing.
Canoeing:
Canoeing as a life style: This is a slide show about the joys of paddling a canoe, and paddling as a lifestyle. I have 30 years experience from canoeing. I have taken numerous trips on different rivers and lake systems in Norway and Sweden, and some in other countries. I have taken trips on the Rio Grande in Texas, Green River in Utah, several trips in the Everglades National park and a couple of rivers on the Kola Peninsula. For more than 20 years I have been training for and racing canoe marathons, paddling about 200 hours each summer. The races have mainly been in Sweden, but I have also done the General Clinton 70 miler (in New York) 6 times, the USCA nationals a couple of times, and Tour de Gudenaa in Denmark a couple of times. I have also used my C1 (one man canoe) extensively for fly fishing.
I have built 3 woodstrip canoes.
I have a lot of pictures from all my canoeing, and want to share the joy of paddling the canadien canoe with other people. The slide show can be used as an intro to canoeing classes, or can be followed by showing the DVD where Laila and I show how to paddle a canoe.
